How do I register and start receiving jobs?

Providing you have the relevant credentials including:

Public liability insurance, Trade certifications & other relevant supporting documentation you  can simply join by clicking on "Register Now" and you  can fill in the details required.

 

You will then be contacted by one of our team members  to discuss your registration in further detail explaining the process to receive jobs.

 

Is this position intended for direct employment or subcontracting?

You will be registering to become a subcontractor for Sure Trades People allowing you  to receive jobs  and collecting a fair share for each completed job.

 

How soon can I expect to receive jobs?

This is all dependent on the demand in your local/selected areas. We are actively and continuously advertising the services we offer in your local/selected areas.

 

How much does it cost to register as a subcontractor?

No charge will be incurred when registering, you will receive your trade skills pack from Sure Trades People once your first job has been generated.

 

Do you operate 24 hours a day?

Yes we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week & 365 days a year.  When registering you can choose the hours / days & preferred times that suit your working style.

 

How are jobs  sent to me?

Jobs are sent to you via text message to your mobile phone.

 

Do I need to download an app to receive jobs?

No, all jobs will come through text message and our support team is at hand should you  need more details about the job that you have been allocated.

 

Do I need to have my own public liability insurance?

Yes, all subcontractors require to have their own public liability insurance, this will need to be presented in the registration process.

 

How will I get paid?

You will get paid directly into your bank account via a BACS payment.

 

Can I still register if I have more than one trade?

Yes, you can register as a multi trade skilled person, ie a locksmith & plumber providing you have the relevant experience and trade certifications.

 

What specific qualifications or certifications are required for this position?

You will be required to have your trade certifications, public liability insurance, safety certificates and any other supporting documents dependent on trade.

What type of work will be involved in this role?

You will be provided jobs that are requested from commercial and residential clients. The jobs range from emergency callouts to larger projects.

​

Is this position full-time or part-time?

The hours that you choose to work is up to you. We have options of part time & full time. This would mean that you set yourself to be available within those hours.

What is the salary range for this position?

The job call outs are dependent on your trade. We strongly believe in rewarding you as much as we can, afterall you are doing the actual labour. We do this by continuously keeping our overheads low. 

​

Are there opportunities for overtime or additional shifts?

Yes, as we operate as a 24 hour service you will have plenty of opportunity to take more jobs as they come in. 

​

What benefits are offered, such as healthcare, retirement plans, or vacation time?

As you will be subcontracting you will be able to set up the above and be in control of the options available to you. 

 

Will I need to provide my own tools and equipment, or will they be provided?

Yes you will be required to have all your tools and equipment. Any additional materials required can be purchased whilst on the job or before attending. This will then be reimbursed once the job is complete.

Are there opportunities for professional development or training?

We do not provide any sort of training. We expect you to be professional in your trade.

What is the typical work schedule, including hours and days?

This is all dependent on the requests from clients.

​

Is travel required for this position?

Yes, you will be required to travel to each job. You will be provided with the full address and job description.

​

What safety protocols are in place to ensure a safe working environment?

We expect you to have all your safety equipment at hand for every job. Your safety is your responsibility and we take great pride in our subcontractors for taking utmost care for safety at each job.

Are there opportunities for advancement within the company?

Every region will be required to have a regional manager, that would be the first advancement following on to many more opportunities.

How many years of experience are preferred for this role?

We expect you to have a minimum of one year experience however this is not mandatory. 

 

Can you describe the team dynamic or working environment?

You are effectively your own boss, you will receive support from our team and colleagues.

How do you handle emergency situations or urgent repairs?

We contact you as soon as we can and provide as much detail as possible so that you can attend the job and know what to expect.
